William Bristol
As a child growing up in St. Louis, Missouri, William discovered a penchant for creativity around age 5. “I have been drawing, painting and sometimes sculpting ever since.” Deriving inspiration from classic Renaissance works and modern, contemporary illustrations, he attended the Joe Kubert School of Art in Dover, New Jersey for two years. He later discovered the art of tattooing and was taken under the wings of several journeyman tattoo artists as a worthy apprentice. William then worked as a licensed tattoo professional for several years to follow before enlisting in the U.S. Armed Forces. After 12 years of Active Duty service he decided to explore the realm of fine art, relying on skills acquired long ago, he has managed to create a vast body of work. “I believe it’s important to continuously challenge oneself with new techniques and subject matter, it keeps everything fresh.”
