Color, Light, Play is an exhibition and reception showcasing works from St. Louis glass artist Dani Collette. Dani has been developing her practice in glass work since 2013, graduating with a BFA in Sculpture and Glass from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. Her work transcends stained glass, and delves into other formed methods including blown and kiln forms. “My first interaction with glass was at my grandparent’s house; a place I believe is full of magic,” says Collette. “My grandfather was a stained glass artist utilizing a vibrant color palette. Prisms hanged in windows, and art on every wall and surface. Around every corner were aesthetic treasures. My practice seeks to nurture those feelings of whimsy, discovery, and magic within you.”
